Hi and welcome to Bellaroo!
Bellaroo is inspired by our love of babies, little people and beautiful and practical items available to enhance our lives and make the job of parenting that little bit easier! It is proudly 100% New Zealand owned by Belinda and Nick Lee, who have 3 adorable children aged between 6 and 2 years old.
After the birth of our third baby in 2008 I was inspired first hand of the powerful bonding and calming process that occurs when fussy and unsettled babies are carried with their parent in a sling. Our baby spent a lot of his first year being very unsettled and only when he was snuggled up with Mum or Dad in the sling, he was calm. Now he is 2 and every day surprises us with his development, but ultimately he is a confident, happy wee chap and I firmly believe he just was not yet ready at birth to face the big world!
Carrying a baby in a sling is not only incredibly convenient, especially when there are older siblings to take care of but it also hugely enhances bonding and learning. Carried babies have enhanced visual and auditory alertness, and increased quiet alertness.
I have a background in retail management and am inspired and driven to search the globe for fantastic new innovative products, all of which are first tried, tested and critiqued by our 3 little angels, or our friends. There are so many amazing products out there that make your life easier and richer AND if these great products come in stylish prints and styles why not take advantage!
